A Next Level Event Space
The River East Art Center is a dynamic event space located in a collaborative building comprising of art galleries, restaurants & artisan ventures. The building was originally a historical warehouse built around 1905 on the North bank of the Chicago River. Set upon a private slip originally dredged under the first Mayor of Chicago, William B. Ogden, the Ogden Slip gives our event space fantastic waterfront views from where the building once served as a fully functioning harbor. It was restructured as an exposition during the 1990′s and launched the event space in 2005. It has since become Chicago’s premier high-end private event space, setting a contemporary and clean ambiance within the rustic timber columns and brick masonry. The River East Art Center speaks to the contemporary side of Chicago, an elegant powerhouse with the flexibility to create a unique and dynamic event every time.
