 THE CLASSES OF PROJECT 465
CLASS GUIDELINES AND POLICIES

REGISTRATION AND FEES: We strongly encourage you to pre-register to ensure a space in class.  Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis accompanied with full payment.  Workshops must also be paid in full at the time of registration.  Unless otherwise noted, classes are open to ages 18 and above.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: Tuition is refundable for all classes and workshops minus a processing fee for each class dropped, only if the River East Art Center staff is notified at least one week (7 days) prior to the class start date.  If the River East Art Center staff is notified at least one week prior to the scheduled start date, a processing fee of $50 will be applied.  Students are responsible for notifying the River East Art Center of their intention to drop a class or workshop.  Not attending a class does not constitute an official withdrawal from courses nor cancellation of tuition or fees.  If you must drop a class or workshop after the deadline, no refunds will be given, except for documented medical reasons with physicians note (credit card payments will be processed immediately and check refunds will be processed within 30 days of date of cancellation of class).

CLASS CANCELLATION: River East Art Center reserves the right to cancel a class in the event that the enrollment minimum is not reached.  Students will be notified if classes are cancelled and will be eligible for a full refund or class credit (credit card payments will be processed immediately and check refunds will be processed within 30 days of date of cancellation of class).

LATE REGISTRATION: Late registrants are welcome with space available and instructor permission.

CREDITS: Tuition credits are good for a period of one year (12 months) towards any classes or workshops and are not redeemable for cash under any circumstances.  If River East Art Center cancels a class, students are eligible for a full refund.  Refunds and class credits are available for classes dropped due to documented medical reasons.

LOW ENROLLMENT:  River East Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.  If a class is cancelled, students are eligible for a full refund (credit card payments will be processed immediately and check refunds will be processed within 30 days of date of cancellation of class).

HOLIDAYS: For classes that fall on holidays, it is up to the individual teachers and students to decide whether to hold the class or to schedule a make-up class later in the same session.

MISSED SESSION(S): Missed classes may only be made up within the same class session, and with prior approval of the instructor.

SKILL LEVELS: Programs may be divided into skill levels: Beginner, Multilevel, Intermediate, and Advanced.  For the classes deemed Intermediate or Advanced, students not previously enrolled at River East Art Center should seek the approval of the instructor before enrollment.

TOOLS/SUPPLY KITS: Students may be required to purchase a supply kit or other materials in order to complete class work.  Such supplies or tools will be available from River East Art Center and students will receive a supply list for purchase.

OPEN STUDIO: Open studio time is available to all students currently enrolled in classes and will start the week after classes begin; please see each department for details.  Times of open studio vary by department.  Students must bring their own supplies to Open Studio; they will not be allowed to use River East Art Center supplies during that time.
