CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed for beginning metal-smithers who want a sample of basic skills. Have you always dreamed of making your own belt buckle, jewelry collection, or metal sculptures? Saw-piercing, texturing, cold connections and soldering will be covered. We will also do cabochon setting for stones. Silver and additional materials may be purchased from the instructor.

For the jewelry student who is comfortable with the basics of soldering, sawing, filling, and polishing, this class offers the opportunity to explore more ambitious techniques. In this class, we will explore more processes pertaining to the fabrication of metal such as hollow forms and other kinds of stone settings. Please join us for further exploration into the wonderful world of metal!
